Service Update:

Gas Main Roadworks Completed – C1 Back To Normal Service

We are pleased to report the gas mains roadworks on the Portsmouth Rd at Painshill, between the bridge over the river mole near the Sainsburys roundabout and the Painshill A3 junction, have been completed. The C1 Chatterbus no longer needs to use the diversion through Hersham and has returned to its normal route and timetable.

Change to the Fare Cap from Tuesday 2nd Jan 2024

In line with the government fares cap policy, the Chatterbus fares for two zones will increase to £2.50 for a single adult journey and £1.25 for a single child journey. One zone single fares remain at £2 for adult and £1 for child. Two zone journeys are only applicable to the Weekday C1 and Saturday C2 services.

Your community-run bus service for the Cobham area

Chatterbus provides a reliable, friendly service that’s there when it’s needed. It is a unique not-for-profit service, managed by local people for the local community and is operated by the East Surrey Rural Transport Partnership under contract to Chatterbus CIO (charity no. 1173907).

Chatterbus C1, C2 & C3 routes

The Chatterbus East-West service between Cobham and Weybridge (plus Fetcham and Leatherhead on Saturdays) plugs a significant gap in the local transport system and complements other local bus services.
