From Thursday 6th September 2018, a minor adjustment to the times of operation will come into affect to better accomodate the schools which have changed their finish times. The change of times only affects journeys made between 14.55 and 16.25. Please see the updated C1 timetable for full details.
A very big thank you to all of you who attended the gin tasting on Friday 27th April 2018 and to those who bought tickets but were unable to be there. Your support is invaluable to Chatterbus and we hope you all enjoyed the evening. We had several very positive comments that make us think that you did!
Of course it could not have taken place without Cobham Majestic. We are deeply grateful to Brett, Phil and all the staff who were amazingly helpful. A special thank you to Brett who managed to keep the evening running smoothly by talking about Whittaker’s Pink Peculiar while waiting for one of the suppliers who was delayed in traffic. What a team!
And finally, we enjoyed the excellent gin and the inspiring stories from all the producers – The Gin Kitchen, Brockmans, British Polo, Tom Cat and Old Bakery. Thanks to all of you for making it such an interesting night, and for your generosity in providing the raffle prizes.
See you at our next event!
You will have seen from the rest of the website that this is a fantastic community asset which has become a lifeline for many people in our community who have no other means of making the simple journeys that the rest of us take for granted.
How is this essential service funded? Fare revenues from our many loyal passengers (approximately 19,000 passengers journeys are made a year) and support from our local government sponsors cover about two thirds of our operating costs. This leaves a substantial gap which must be filled by donations from other sponsors, local businesses and residents in order to keep the bus on the road. Friends of Chatterbus has been set up so that local people can show their support through donations.

There are many ways in which you can show your support for Chatterbus.
Chatterbus funds received a vital boost this week (22nd Nov 2017) as representatives of McCarthy and Stone and Levanter presented Chatterbus CIO Vice-Chairman and Surrey County Councillor for Cobham, Mary Lewis, with a cheque for £8000.
McCarthy and Stone has become an important presence in Cobham with its development of retirement flats in the High Street.
"Chatterbus has become a key way in which many of Cobham's older residents are able to get around for shopping, visiting friends and appointments," said Mary. "McCarthy and Stone and their local developer, Levanter Properties have recognised this and we are very grateful for this generous contribution. It will ensure that the bus is kept on the road for several months longer!"
