We are pleased to announce that the Chelsea Foundation will support the Chatterbus for a further three years as the club continues to play an active role in the local community. The Chelsea Foundation began supporting the Chatterbus when it launched in April 2015 together with the other major founding supporters, Elmbridge Borough Council and Surrey County Council.
"Chatterbus is having a tremendously positive effect locally," said Andrew Burley, Elmbridge councillor and Chatterbus board member, following his visit to the training ground. "Our ability to help people get out of their homes to shop, to work, to go to appointments, to see their friends and to enjoy our great borough, is down to organisations like the Chelsea Foundation seeing the huge value in what Chatterbus does for the community."
Cobham Community Bus CIC chairman Sir Gerald Acher said:
"We would like to thank the Chelsea Foundation for having faith in us when we launched our local bus service two years ago, and we are thrilled that they will be behind us for a further three years.
Their continued support means a great deal to us, and if it had not been for that initial support the bus would simply not be running today."
